چکیده
Abstract Corneal epithelium responds to insults with a rapid wound healing, which is essential for maintaining vision. The proper balance of apoptotic and proliferation-stimulating pathways critical normal regeneration. Pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide (PACAP) an important growth factor during the development nervous system exerts cytoprotective effects in injuries. aim present study was investigate PACAP on corneal epithelial healing rats two protective signaling molecules, Akt ERK1/2, both have been reported play roles cell survival regeneration, including healing. Wistar received treatment form eyedrops, containing 1, 5 10 µg PACAP27, immediately every hours after abrasion. Corneas were stained fluorescein dye further processed histological staining or Western blot analysis ERK1/2 expression. Our results showed that topical application enhanced as area injury significantly less PACAP-treated groups. Furthermore, induced upon administration injured intact corneas. In summary, show enhances rat model

Pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide and migraine
Pituitary adenylate cyclase activating peptide (PACAP) is found in human trigeminocervical complex and can trigger migraine. PACAP levels were measured using a sensitive radioimmunoassay. Stimulation of the superior sagittal sinus (SSS) in cat elevated PACAP levels in cranial blood. Patients with moderate or severe migraine headache had elevated PACAP in the external jugular vein during headach...
متن کاملPS16. Genetic variation and expression diversity of pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP) gene in mouse
Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP) gene codes a peptide hormone that is important for regulation of emotions such as anxiety and fear. However, genetic influence on the functions remains poorly understood. Here we describe genetic variation and expression diversity of the PACAP gene to identify functional differences that influence and contribute to phenotypic diversity ...

Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP38) potently stimulates cyclic AMP formation in slices of chick cerebral cortex. One- to fifteen-minute pretreatment of slices with 30 nM PACAP38 led to a time-dependent attenuation (when compared with values observed in the control tissue) of the cyclic AMP response produced by subsequent re-stimulation with 1 microM PACAP38. Concentrati...
متن کاملPituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP) in zebrafish models of nephrotic syndrome
Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP) is an inhibitor of megakaryopoiesis and platelet function. Recently, PACAP deficiency was observed in children with nephrotic syndrome (NS), associated with increased platelet count and aggregability and increased risk of thrombosis. To further study PACAP deficiency in NS, we used transgenic Tg(cd41:EGFP) zebrafish with GFP-labeled thr...
